MOVIES TO LIFE
Going out to the movies is a treat. It's how we transport ourselves to a different world. A great film is a break for the mind and a boost to the spirit.
At the Monte Rio Theater, we like to add special treats whenever we can. Whether it's a visit with a film character, a special glass of wine or live music, we hope every visit to our theater is a memorable one.
JOIN THE INVESTMENT TEAM FOR THIS HISTORIC THEATER
Being an owner of the Monte Rio Theater means owning a part of history. The 72-year-old theater is both a working theater and a museum. The theater houses antique projectors, film reels and the largest remaining intact and continuous section of the famed 1976 "Running Fence" art installation.
For a limited time, Monte Rio Theater and Extravaganza LLC has started a growth equity campaign with the crowdfunding platform WeFunder. For more information on our business and how you can become a part of our team follow the link below.
11 Time Emmy Award-Winning Actor Ed Asner Talks About the Monte Rio Theater
In December 2020, at the age of 89 and in the midst of the pandemic, the late Ed Asner drove 8 hours from LA to Monte Rio to help save the theater from being turned into a parking lot. We will always be grateful to Ed for his commitment to the arts, huge heart and enduring sense of humor.
